From February 11 to 15, 2019, representatives of the START IN – Developing inclusive and innovative entrepreneurship education in Europe – project attended the learning teaching training activity (LTTA) in Chania, Greece. The hosting institution was the Directorate of Secondary Education in Chania.
The first day was an introduction to the planned activities, presentation of attendees and their scope work in the project, as well as a brief review of project management topics. Attendees had the chance to share experience from their contribution to completed project activities, i.e. the curriculum and modules.
The second, third and fourth days were focused on discussions around specific project outputs. Attendees received an overview of the START IN curriculum presented by this output leader. Then came a detailed overview of the START in training modules, presented by respective partners responsible for their development. Some topics include: innovation, inclusive entrepreneurship or digital skills & technology applied to entrepreneurship education.
An important part of the LTTA was training on the START IN platform. Here partners were introduced to the structure, functionalities and content uploading steps, to then themselves participate in testing the e-platform.
Not less focus was placed on training on the START IN mobile app. Here, similarly as with the e-platform, partners first found out about and then explored the activities. The output leaders gathered feedback to make improvements prior to the launching the digital tools.
Finally, time was devoted to discussing the results of the national and European benchmarking analysis, which brought interesting finding, thus being that there is few resources available for teaching inclusiveness or on inclusiveness in entrepreneurship. A few comments were also provided on the procedures for collecting feedback from the START IN piloting phase (to be announced at national level).
The final, fifth day, was a workshop for local teachers and educators from Chania, where they were guided by the Finnish partner on entrepreneurship education – the situation in their country and how to introduce novelty in own teaching practice. Group work concerned discovering the EntreComp competences and mutual idea sharing.
Next time the START IN partnership will meet in Rzeszow (Poland) in September 2019.
